Payam Feili, , will be giving a reading of his new memoir "Madame Zona" at 20:00 on Wednesday, November 27 .

Payam's story has been widely covered in the press: how the gay, Israel-loving, Iranian writer fled his country under threat of death after his book "I Will Grow, I Will Bear Fruit ... Figs" was translated into Hebrew, and came to Israel as a refugee in 2016. Payam's writing is just as, if not more, engaging than his personal story. His memoir describes his arrival to and experience in Israel, and it is a surprising work of incredible literary merit. 

Payam will be reading a selection of the English translation (translated by Sarah Khalili)..
